Researcher for the Printed Fuel Cells & Electrolysers lineThe Functional Printing & Embedded Devices Unit develops innovative solutions based on functional materials and devices.This Unit has the knowledge and experience to contribute from research concepts to prototyping and manufacturing. The Unit can cover the entire TRL chain, from the conceptualization of the idea to prototype validation, including design, proof of concept, material analysis, processes, prototyping, and characterization.The specialization areas of the Unit include the formulation of functional inks, printing and coating processes for lightweight and flexible devices, their characterization, and in terms of electronics, the design, development, and manufacturing of conventional PCB electronics and hybrid electronics.The candidate will carry out tasks within multidisciplinary team projects in the field of fuel cell and electrolyzer development for sustainable energy technologies, based on raw material devices and printing techniques.In particular, the tasks include:Analysis of state-of-the-art,Material processing for membranes and catalysts,Physicochemical characterization of materials and surfaces (electrical, optical, morphological characterization techniques, among others).Assembly and simulation/characterization of electrochemical cells and/or fuel cells;Calculation, design, programming, and/or assembly of gas control systems;Analysis and presentation of results and preparation of technical reports.Will join a dynamic and multicultural work environment, with a vision of generating value for clients and with agile and innovative project management methodologies.Requirements:Education:Bachelor's degree (BSc), Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar disciplines.Experience:Essential experience of at least one subject in electrochemistry or similar.Previous knowledge of hydrogen production and conversion systems as sustainable energy will be valued.Highly valuable any experience in:The development and characterization of fuel cells and electrolyzers and associated materials.Power electronic systems.Skills:Proactivity.Ability to learn new laboratory techniques with the capacity to critically analyze results.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.Languages:High level of English.High level of Spanish.WHAT CAN EURECAT OFFER YOU?Permanent contract.Hybrid work (home office/work in the office).Flexible Schedule.Shorter workday on Friday and Summer Schedule.Flexible remuneration package (health insurance, transport, lunch, studies - training and kindergarten).Eurecat employees can join the Eurecat Academy courses.Language courses (English, Catalan, and Spanish).
