: 2025-01 About the Position: We are looking for students with an outstanding academic record who wish to pursue doctoral studies in the MindFrameAI project at the Institute for Research in Human-Centered Technology of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
MindFrameAI is an innovative research initiative focused on developing empathetic artificial intelligence, personalized learning systems, and human-AI collaboration.
Our goal is to create technologies that positively impact educational and collaborative fields.
Key Responsibilities: Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for empathetic artificial intelligence.
Personalized Learning Systems: Develop systems using large language models (LLMs) to personalize educational experiences.
Human-AI Collaboration: Contribute to frameworks that enhance collaboration between humans and AI.
Research and Publication: Participate in research activities and publish results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Model Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and improving existing AI models and tools.
Academic Requirements: Be enrolled in a PhD program in 2024-2025 or in an official master's program in 2024-2025 that provides access to a PhD program in 2025-2026, meeting the current academic requirements.
The date of degree completion must be after January 1, 2020, or 2021, depending on the credits or type of degree.
Have a minimum average grade in the academic record according to the field of study (e.g., Sciences: 7.89, Engineering: 7.48).
Mandatory Requirements: Academic Background: Master's degree required in Cognitive Computing, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or related fields.
Programming Skills: Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming in Python.
Academic Excellence: Outstanding academic record with excellent grades.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Additional Requirements: Machine Learning Frameworks: Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar libraries.
Natural Language Processing: Familiarity with large language models and NLP techniques.
Cognitive Architectures: Knowledge of AI empathy models and cognitive computing.
Research Experience: Previous participation in research projects or publications in related fields.
