The Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Group at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute is recruiting candidates to apply for a position as a Research Technician, to support translational and clinical research in the field of Parkinson's Disease. The candidate will support different lines of research of the group, particularly the study of the role of the adaptive immune system in Parkinson's disease and related diseases.
Education and qualifications: Required: Master's degree in Sciences Fluency in English Desired: Training in neuroscience, immunology or neuroimmunology Experience and knowledge: Required: At least 2 years of experience working in a laboratory performing different techniques such as immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence Knowledge of bioinformatics analysis (scRNAseq/scTCRseq, transcriptomics, metatranscriptomics...) Ability to work with human samples Desired: Experience working in the neuroscience field, particularly with neurodegenerative diseases Experience in immunology and immunoinformatics Main responsibilities and duties: Carry out or support the experiments of the different lines of research of the group with human samples, animal models, or cell cultures. Management of the laboratory, including purchases. Help with bioinformatics analysis. Strengthen the bridge between the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Unit and the research laboratory. Labour conditions: Full-time position: 40h/week. Starting date: 1st of November 2024 Gross annual salary: 22.900,00 euros.
