Please check out our Recruitment Policy.The roleYou will be responsible for chromatin extraction and sample preparation for either proteomic or western blot analysis.
You will perform cloning, cell culture, qPCR, ChIP-seq, sample preparation for gene expression analysis, and immunofluorescence.
You will work on several projects at the same time, helping the project leaders to carry out the experiments necessary for the progress of their projects.About the labOur laboratory specializes in high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics and cell and molecular biology techniques.
We are a group of about 10 people from different cultures and countries.
We are part of the genome biology department at the CRG, and we aim to understand why metabolic enzymes localize to the nuclear environment and participate in specific chromatin functions.Whom would we like to hire?Professional experienceMust Have: You have more than 5 years of experience as a research technician.
You have proven experience in cell culture, cloning, western blot, and qPCR.
You have experience in chromatin proteomics.
You have experience in immunofluorescence.
Desirable but not required/Nice to have: You have experience with customizable image analysis pipelines.
You have knowledge of cancer biology, in particular breast cancer.
Education and training: You have a Certificate of Higher Education as a research technician or a bachelor's/master's degree in biological sciences or a related field.LanguagesYou are proficient in English.CompetencesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
