The CRG is composed of an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team supported by a flexible and efficient administration and high-end, innovative technologies.
You will be responsible for chromatin extraction and sample preparation for either proteomic or western blot analysis. You will perform cloning, cell culture, qPCR, ChIPseq, sample preparation for gene expression analysis, and immunofluorescence. You will work on several projects simultaneously, assisting project leaders in conducting the necessary experiments for the progress of their projects.
About the lab Our laboratory specializes in high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics, and cell and molecular biology techniques. We are a group of about 10 people from different cultures and countries. We are part of the genome biology department at the CRG, aiming to understand why metabolic enzymes localize to the nuclear environment and participate in specific chromatin functions.
Whom would we like to hire? Professional experience Must Have You have more than 5 years of experience as a research technician.You have proven experience in cell culture, cloning, western blot, and qPCR.You have experience in chromatin proteomics.You have experience in immunofluorescence.Desirable but not required/Nice to have You have experience with customizable image analysis pipelines.You have knowledge of cancer biology, particularly breast cancer.Education and training You have a Certificate of Higher Education as a research technician or a bachelor's/master's degree in biological sciences or a related field.
Languages You are proficient in English.

Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
