NoOffer Description Ikerbasque and University of Deusto are seeking an experienced researcher to lead a research group devoted to Quantum Computing and Quantum Artificial Intelligence (QAI).Number of vacancies: 1We seek a candidate with a robust background in Quantum Computing and Quantum Artificial Intelligence, eager to lead and participate in cutting-edge research and development projects in these fields. The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.Job functions:Engage actively in R&D projects in Quantum Computing and QAI, collaborating closely with existing DeustoTech research teams and contributing to multidisciplinary efforts across various domains such as Health, Cybersecurity, and Industry.Work in cooperation with the Community of Quantum Technologies of the Basque Country, encompassing a wide range of stakeholders including entities, administrations, technological centers, and companies.Drive the conception and design of new project proposals, their execution and technical management.Play a key role in the training of young talent and promoting quantum literacy in the Basque Country, through collaboration with the Deusto Faculty of Engineering and its academic initiatives.Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and innovation in Quantum Computing and technologies to the industrial and productive sectors.Disseminate research findings through high quality scientific publications and presentations at national and international conferences.Support the strategic long-term research in agreement with the Scientific Director.Mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.Minimum Requirements:A Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.Demonstrable experience in Quantum Technologies and QAI projects.Advanced programming skills (Python, R, C++, etc.).A proven track record of securing competitive research funding and engaging in technology transfer initiatives.Familiarity with national and European public funding programs for R&D projects.Excellent teamwork skills and adaptability to various project strategies.Willingness to travel and collaborate with diverse entities and projects.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Additional considerations will be given to candidates with:Prior experience applying Quantum Computing to various sectors and domains.Publications in the field of Quantum Computing.Research stays at prestigious research centers
