What are they looking for?
As a remote SENSING RESEARCH SCIENTIST, your day-to-day will be focused on creating higher-level data products based on remote sensing data, prototyping algorithms, implementing existing ones, and evaluating others provided by a third party (OSS) or data feeds. You will communicate with the engineering team to turn the algorithms into production quality services, but you will also participate in the process of implementation, so you will get an ample opportunity to learn new skills.

Requirements
What would your tasks be?
Prototype and implement algorithms related to radar, multi/hyper-spectral imagery
Participate in geospatial artificial intelligence model development (supervised and unsupervised)
Collaborate with academia on the development of novel GIS methods
Create statistical models for time-series processing and data fusion algorithms
Rapid algorithm prototyping in Python
What would you need?
Masters but preferably PhD in computer sciences, remote sensing, machine learning, signal processing, etc.
Independent data analysis and signal processing skills to prototype new and existing algorithms
Capability to evaluate different algorithms and datasets using statistical methods
Prior software development experience (agile development, git, rapid prototyping)
Experience with satellite radar (active/passive) and/or multi/hyper-spectral imagery
Self-motivated, critical/creative thinking, and willing to learn is a "must have"
Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English.

Previous experience with big data
Knowledge of modern cloud deployment tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
