IFAE was formally created in 1991; by Decree number 159/1991. As stated in its By-laws, IFAE's main goal is to carry out research and to contribute to the development of high energy physics from a theoretical, experimental and technological point of view. Mission of the position:The person responsible for the Project Office has to coordinate national and international projects, including the preparation of proposals, advice to research staff and the management of funding organizations, with the objective of ensuring the development of research activity, contributing to the positioning of the company, in accordance with current legislation. Job functions:Plan and organize tasks related to the Project Office and the personnel. Distribute work and define, follow and evaluate the objectives of the project managers under their responsibility. Identify the needs and propose training for project managers under your responsibility.Coordinate the teams. Carefully plan the use of resources and monitor the progress of work on coordinated projects, anticipate possible problems and maintain excellent communication with the Principal Investigator and the Project Manager of the funding agency. Control the budgets.Prepare and present reports in short periodic times. Guarantee the contractual obligations.Proposal management. Efficiently and effectively manage the administrative work necessary to facilitate the participation of IFAE researchers in project proposals. Take the lead in defining and drafting the execution of project proposals in relation to resource, budget, project governance, etc. Contribute to other sections of the proposal where necessary, including the impact section. Ensure compliance with the administrative requirements of the proposals (eligibility, etc.)Contract management. Guarantee rigorous but agile contract management, which facilitates the collaboration of IFAE researchers with other organizations, in an efficient and responsible manner.Maintain fluid communication with financial organizations, make proposals for improvement in internal processes for adaptation to the regulations of the projects.Maintain a strategic vision of the area's objectives and future opportunities and help area heads plan to make the most of these opportunities.Coordinate the presentation of the necessary documentation for closure, internal and external audits of the projects, and reimbursement requirements from financing organizations.Coordinate the preparation of agreements, including their negotiation, drafting and supervision of the signature process
