We are currently looking for an Research Manager to join one of the groups specialist divisions. This role sits within the Insights team of M&C Saatchi World Services. World Services is a specialist division of M&C Saatchi Group. Partnering with governments, civil society, foundations, academia, and the private sector, we work on the critical issues of our time, including national security, social justice and conflict prevention. We provide a fully integrated, end to end service, combining multi-discipline communications teams with subject matter experts, across the world. Job Responsibilities: Leading mixed-method research and evaluation projects from beginning to the end, including design, implementation, coordination with partners/ stakeholders and reporting. Designing formative research, pre-testing, evaluation using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods and data sources - online, telephone and face-to-face. Developing data collection tools, such as questionnaires, discussion guides, interview guides, sampling and recruitment plans. Working collaboratively with communication specialists and strategists to monitor and evaluate multimedia communication activities (digital and offline). Carrying out analysis and triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data, primary and secondary sources to provide actionable insights for behaviour change communications. Writing up research findings in a succinct, clear and engaging way, using both long and short-form reports (Word, PPT), summaries and policy briefs. About You: Demonstrable experience in research, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), both standalone and as part of an integrated activity. Experience working in the international development, humanitarian or government sector would be advantageous. Experience in designing evaluation and learning frameworks is a plus. · Strong quantitative analysis skills (with experience using SPSS, R, Stata or anything else similar). Experience using participatory techniques, such as co-creation, ethnographies, human-centred design (HCD), participatory action research (PAR) and others would be a plus. Knowledge of main evaluation and learning methods, such as impact evaluation, theory-based evaluation, rapid feedback and iterative learning. A strong work ethic with ability to stick to deadlines is essential. Bachelor's or Master's degree in social science, preferably with modules in applied research, international development, behavioural science etc. PLEASE NOTE: This is an upcoming position in our Insights team.
