Context And Mission: The Computational Social Science and Humanities Program envisions preparing the social sciences and humanities for the era of data, artificial intelligence (AI), and Exascale supercomputing. Our mission is to foster collaboration between social scientists and computer scientists, making high-performance computing (HPC) accessible to all researchers in the field.
Key Duties:

Assisting in developing tools for computational archeology and digital humanities, including geospatial applications.
Implementing Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Network Analysis applications.
Contributing to developing 3D tools.
Contributing to curating and managing FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) for digital datasets in archeology.
Developing research tools to help advance research on computational and digital humanities in collaboration with the Computer Science and Operations departments of the BSC-CNS.
Providing support in adopting the researchers' code to High Performance Computing.

Requirements:
Education:

Computer Science Degree, Telecommunication Engineering, Archaeology or similar.
MSc in Computer Science, Archaeology or similar is highly desirable.

Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:

4+ years of experience building AI/ML tools.
Extensive hands-on experience programming (e.g., Python) and developing applications for research.
Experience in computational methods and large datasets.
Experience in high-performance computing.

Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:

Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Spanish and other European languages would be advantageous.
