The mission is to make climate and air quality data accessible and actionable by creating compelling narratives from complex data.Key DutiesDistill complex data into compelling narratives that empower users to better understand climate and air quality services.Foster innovation by guiding cross-functional product teams in identifying research opportunities and shaping the product roadmap.Lead and participate in qualitative research methods (e.G., interviews, workshops) to design and improve AI and personalization products.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's, Master's, or Professional degree in Design, Research, or related fields, with 6+ years of relevant experience.Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:Proficiency in qualitative research methods such as in-depth interviews and focus groups.Experience with service design approaches, including co-creation sessions and journey mapping.Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:Fluency in English is essential.
Proficiency in Spanish and other European languages would be advantageous.Experience in AI or personalization product research is preferred.Understanding of data storytelling and its application in user empowerment.Competences:Ability to work in a team and in a multi-cultural environment.Strong narrative-building skills, able to distill complex data into compelling stories.Ability to foster innovation and improve user understanding of climate and air quality services.ConditionsThe position will be located at BSC within the Earth Sciences Department.We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, and a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure.Duration: 4 years.Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement.Salary: 50,000.00€.Additional Expenses Grant: Each fellowship will be associated with a grant for additional expenses, such as IT equipment, travel, training, stays, etc.Starting date: asap - the incorporation for this vacancy must be before the 16th of December 2024.Applications procedure and processAll applications must be submitted via the BSC website and contain:A full CV in English, including contact details.A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.Development of the recruitment processThe selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system.
