As perishable foods, fruits should be harvested, shipped to the lab, and analyzed in the shortest time to ensure quality of the results.
Your main mission will be to secure the day-to-day logistics of this project to ensure fruits' reception in the laboratories at the right time and in good conditions.
The sensory evaluation of fruits will be carried out by a sensory provider.
You will be their main contact for the proper realization of this study.
This project requires being highly reactive and proactive.In details, you will be in charge of:Project logistic monitoring:Teach growers on fruit harvest protocols and shipping proceduresPlan fruit harvests in coordination between European fruit growers (SP, IT, GR, TK, FR), phenotyping platform, and sensory laboratoryDay-to-day tracking of fruit shipping: maintain the tracking dashboard, call shipping companies or customs to ensure delivery of fruits in time and at the right placeAssess the quality of fruit packaging and sensory quality at reception in the laboratory, as defined in the projectChecking and supporting the proper realization of Sensory study by our provider, as defined in the technical specification agreement:Recruitment of the consumers panel (naïve)Respect of experimental designHedonic data processing, analyses, and reportingYou may be in charge of additional sensory-related missions depending on the project evolution.PROFIL:Master degree in food science with sensory and statistics backgroundBackground in sensory scienceExperience in logistics/supply-chainProject managementStatisticsProficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS TeamsFluent in English and Spanish; French is a plusAbility to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and international environmentStrong communication skills (phoning, mailing)Reactivity, adaptabilityRigorous and responsibleHighly motivated, proactive, autonomous #J-18808-Ljbffr
