As a Research Associate within BCG's Data Researcher Services team, you would provide secondary research in support of proposals, client cases, and business or IP development initiatives, with specialization in Infrastructure, Real Estate, Transportation Tourism topics.

We work collaboratively with our clients and across our capabilities to deliver insights, produce results, and create profound value.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping topic knowledge and industry expertise: You will manage various research requests with a high level of accuracy and organization, primarily on Hospitality, Tourism, Travel distribution, and Aviation topics for our European-based consulting teams.
You will take ownership of personal development in research delivery and topic specialization.You will evaluate our source quality and data accuracy and proactively help to identify and raise research-related issues.Customer and team orientation: You will engage in thought partnership with consulting teams and knowledge teams to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information.Utilization and development of tools and technology: Along with collecting, summarizing, and synthesizing relevant data and information into appropriate, concise, timely, and highly effective output, you are proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
With guidance, you will develop tools, resources, and trainings within the Travel, Transport, and Leisure topics, contributing to knowledge capture and documentation.Using your strong analytical thinking, you will provide advanced synthesis and develop deep expertise in specialized research tools, databases, and sources.Working flexibly in a fast-paced environment: In addition to being intellectually curious and being able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment, you can identify practical, timely, and innovative research approaches.Minimum Requirements0-2 years of business research experience, with specialization in Travel and Tourism topics, specifically: Tourism (destination development), Leisure (Hotels, cruise lines, theme parks, etc.
), Aviation (airlines and airport infrastructure), and Travel Distribution.Exposure to Tourism destination development and Travel Distribution topics would be an added plus.Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for Tourism or Hospitality Management.
A Master's in Tourism, Hospitality, or Aviation Management is a plus but not mandatory.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a must.Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, and fluency in another European language.Sound understanding of the European Tourism sector and markets.Desirable knowledge in research databases like OAG, Phocuswright, Euromonitor, or STR.
