The Fundació Privada per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu is an entity created in 2002 to cover the research activity that is carried out, both in the biomedical and social sphere, at the Maternal and Infantile Hospital of Esplugues, in the Parc Sanitari de Sant Boi de Llobregat and in other centers of the Hospital Order San Juan de Dios - Province of Aragon San Rafael.

We are recruiting an outstanding candidate to participate in a project funded by international and national institutions.
Funding is already available for one year (initial gross salary range 24,000-27,000€ depending on experience).
You will join our laboratory of Translational Research in Neuromuscular Diseases at the Institut de Recerca Sant Joan de Déu, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona.
Our Institute is a leading biomedical research hub in Europe for rare diseases and one of the largest pediatric Hospitals in the world.
We are a multidisciplinary group recognized as a reference centre for neuromuscular diseases working with an extensive network of collaborators inside and outside Europe.
We participate in several clinical trials for various neuromuscular and neurological conditions.
The main functions of the candidate will be to carry out experiments related to the project, in particular those related to cell cultures, protein co-immunoprecipitation, nucleic acid extraction techniques, PCR, etc.
In addition, you will have the responsibility of managing the results and issuing reports on them.
The candidate will attend periodic meetings of the group and the research unit, where the results will be communicated and discussed critically.
Requirements• We are looking for a highly motivated candidate committed to translational research and with an interest in molecular biology and projects related to the field of health.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant life sciences disciplines.
• Postgraduate or master's training in life sciences will be highly considered.
• Previous experience in similar projects and with molecular biology techniques (cell culture, western-blot, immunoprecipitation, PCR, etc.)
will be highly evaluated.
• Publications and official participation in research projects will be highly valued.
• English proficiency.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
