Research And Development Chemist

Aortyx is looking for a Chemist or Chemical Engineer to join the R&D team. Reporting to the CTO and the Head of Testing, the candidate will: Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results in the areas of adhesive characterization, biological and accelerated degradation, corrosion and multicomponent interaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, regulatory, and quality departments, to ensure successful product development. Prepare and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of research activities. The candidate may occasionally support the company in other tasks like representing the company in external events. The successful candidate must: Possess a Master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineer (PhD preferred). Have a minimum of 2 years work experience in the field of chemistry, materials science or related fields. Be familiar with Good Laboratory and Good Manufacturing Practices. Be fluent in English, both oral and written. Be fluent in Spanish, both oral and written. Be dynamic, able to work autonomously, and to be part of a team. The offer is for a full-time, permanent position, with a 6 months' probation period. The job is based in Barcelona, but with on-site / telework flexibility if required. The salary will depend on the candidate's expertise and skills.
