Job Overview The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities in Target Accounts. The SDR will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact. This role will be primarily focused on researching the Target Accounts and performing outreach through emails, calls, and other media outlets such as LinkedIn.
Main Responsibilities: Develop opportunities for the sales team from prospecting and marketing generated leads supported by previously accurate data. Demonstrate the value of our offering by delivering messages and product feedback into the marketing and sales organizations through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, and other social media. Develop and execute a strong prospecting plan of attack, including email and call scripts. Track all relevant qualification and lead management activity using Salesforce.com. Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities by focusing on specific targets. Schedule Initial Discovery Meetings for the Sales Team in order to identify requirements regarding prospect customers. Provide in-depth information to the Sales team to enable the most qualified and productive commercial activity contributing and work proactively to drive overall sales performance. Work closely and collaborate with all areas of the Marketing team in order to achieve set goals. Shadow Business Development Managers in meetings and demos to help acquire the skills needed for potential evolution in the sales team. Education and Experience: Degree or education related to the field is an advantage. 3 years of sales experience preferred in prospecting by phone channel (cold calling). Proven experience managing and cultivating positive working relationships with customers. Technical background is a plus. Basic training in finance or knowledge of the financial industry (financial structure and vocabulary). Competencies: Excellent communication skills with an empathic personality that enables strong interpersonal relationships. Strong organizational skills able to conduct communication with several customers simultaneously. Positive mindset towards new challenges and ability to face dynamic environments. High level of self-motivation and ability to engage in cold calling, willing to interact with new people and apply the skills needed as it relates to each individual you speak with. Ability to handle frequent rejection and frustration. Ability to provide, develop, and apply new thoughts and ideas. Entrepreneurial/problem-solving mindset, emphasizing making customers feel valued, understood, and engaged. Able to contribute fully to the team effort and play an integral part in the smooth running of the company. Strong results-oriented focus on achieving goals. Solution-driven attitude and ability to work in a responsible and organized way. Fluency in English for initial training and communication with other subsidiaries and corporate.
