Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled PROJECT DEVELOPER to identify and help capture and develop/build wind, solar, storage and other renewables development opportunities in the markets where the company operates. The incumbent will also be tasked with engineering assessments, electric market analysis, economic evaluations, connectivity studies performed in-house or through third party contractors in order to determine technical and economic viability of early-stage development opportunities in Latin America,US market or Europe. The ideal candidate will hold a BSc. In Electrical Engineering or related field and be a student in a Master ´s or PhD degree program in the areas of Project Management, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering and/or Economics. Previous experience in project development, development permitting, engineering and construction of electric generation infrastructure will be highly desirable. Special value will be given to candidates that have prior engineering experience or project development experience in markets relevant to the company. You will work directly under the head of development and engineering, and country heads and will act as a project developer based on directions and decisions made by company leadership impacting directly the current and future operations of the company. Given excellent performance you will be offered a full-time job upon graduation and possibility of participating in company equity structure in a 2 – 3 year timeframe after that. Responsibilities:
- Directly perform and/or coordinate through third party specialized consultants concept engineering, FEED studies, detailed engineering, critical equipment evaluations, environmental studies, connectivity studies and market assessments and projections studies that will be used as basis for decisions to invest or divest, etc...
- Perform a wide set of economic evaluations and sensitivities that can be used as basis for decision making regarding further investment or to evaluate alternative courses of action in specific projects or investment opportunities.
- Ability to set up and/or work with economic and cash flow models and portfolio models simulating different business conditions and their impact over company objectives Essential Skills:
- BSc or master's degree in electrical engineering, Project Management, Environmental Engineering, Business Management, Economics, or related field.
- Undergraduate degree in Electric Engineering or related field.
- 10 years prior working experience in an electricity generation infrastructure engineering company, Transmission Infrastructure, Project Development, Engineering Consulting, Environmental Studies, and other related fields
