Role Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join RWE Renewables, one of Europe's largest renewable energy players. As part of the European and Australian Development directorate, the Project & Pipeline Management (PPM) department provides project and pipeline co-ordination and support to optimise all aspects of our multi-GW Development pipeline of Onshore Wind, Solar and Storage projects, including the delivery of ~0.5-1 GW of Financial Investment Decisions per annum from across 11 country markets and growing.
PPM is hiring a Global Project Manager to lead our activities in the Italy & Spain cluster for Onshore wind, Solar, and Storage, as well as provide flexible services as required across the wider development portfolio, as determined by pipeline needs.
Location: Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid
Market coverage: Italy/Spain, Flexible (EU/Australia, Onshore/Solar/Storage).
Key Deliverables:
Co-ordinate provision of GPM services and advice to local development cluster teams, as determined by pipeline requirements. Such services shall include:
Project/programme management
Providing project/pipeline advice to local team leads (including up to Head of dev. cluster, and Dev. director level)
Tool provision & support
Relationship management
Optimisation & knowledge transfer (at project/pipeline level)
Leading Dev. co-ordination of investment Gate activities (inc. Decision Proposals), covering all development projects, including co-ordination of project assumption book preparation.
Preparations for competitive tenders (Subsidy/PPA).
Programme management duties may also require taking responsibility for overall leadership for development of late stage projects, e.g., in the last 12 months prior to Financial Investment Decision.
Maintaining good overall understanding of respective local Dev. cluster project pipeline, in terms of timing, risks, commercial optimisation opportunities, project strengths and weaknesses, and pipeline priorities, thus enabling the provision of ad-hoc Dev. pipeline analysis, as required by Dev. Country leads.
Dev. lead for relationship interfaces to Commercial and Investment & Valuation and other departments (inc. Operations, Construction, Controlling, Engineering, Resource Assessment and Procurement), for all dev. projects (at all stages of development), alongside stakeholder management duties in preparation for governance decisions/approvals (inc. Financial Investment Decisions and Handover to the Construction directorate).
