.Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Remote Project Supervisor with SW & FW expertise as a solution architect/ project manager to oversee the development of three cutting-edge projects:A Patient and Clinician App, a Gait Analysis App, and the firmware for an External Controller.
You will work with a dynamic, cross-functional team of students from UT Dallas in the USA and play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of these health-tech projects.
This is a part-time remote role, requiring approximately 8 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Project Oversight Supervise and provide technical guidance for the development of Mobile based Apps (Patient, Clinician, and Gait Analysis Apps) as well as the firmware development for a hardware-based BLE communicating device called External Controller (based on Nordic Thingy 53).
Monitor project progress, ensure milestones are met, and resolve roadblocks to keep projects on track.
Provide expertise on the integration of hardware (e.G., insoles containing pressure sensors and the Thingy 53) and software systems for seamless functionality.
Provide weekly updates on project status to stakeholders.
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and meets project requirements.
Team Leadership Provide mentoring and guidance for a team of developers, engineers, and designers located in Texas, USA.
Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives.
Promote best practices in agile software development and hardware-software integration, preferably according to applicable medical (e.G.
ISO 62304) and security standards (e.G.
HIPPA).
Technical Expertise Review and validate the technical design, implementation, and testing processes for all three projects.
Guide the team in implementing algorithms for gait analysis, data visualization, BLE communication, and cloud integration.
Ensure the firmware for the External Controller meets industry standards for reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
Identify risks and propose solutions to mitigate technical and operational challenges.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software and firmware development, including overseeing health-tech or IoT projects.
Proven expertise in the following areas: Mobile and web app development for healthcare applications (e.G., Patient and Clinician Apps).
Firmware development and BLE communication for devices.
Gait analysis tools or similar algorithms for data analysis and visualization.
Experience with ML models for healthcare applications (advantage).
Cloud integration and infrastructure development for data storage and processing.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a remote, cross-functional team
