The Commercial Banking Relationship Manager (Lucena) is responsible for managing the needs of the large and middle market corporate clients, including but not limited to local conglomerates and multinational corporations. They are assigned to: (a) cultivate trust and partnership and be designated as one of the top bankers of their existing and potential corporate clients; (b) grow the profitability of its portfolio of accounts by providing timely and appropriate financial solutions to these clients; and (c) ensure positive customer experience with the bank, all within the bank's policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities:Portfolio Management: Relationship Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients and ensuring its profitability. The RMs are expected to cultivate trust and partnership with their clients by initiating sales calls, client engagements, and visits to ensure that all their client needs are properly addressed in a timely manner and with adherence to regulatory and internal policies.Revenue and Income Growth: Relationship Managers ensure attainment of income and volume targets through implementation of business development strategies and initiatives that enhance the breadth and depth of product portfolio in response to corporate clients' needs. This will help in achieving and sustaining competitive positioning in the market, resulting in optimization of customer satisfaction, retention, and wallet share.Customer Care: Relationship Managers ensure positive customer experience with the bank by constantly soliciting customer feedback, conducting competitive scans, and gathering market intelligence while working closely with the product groups, channels, operations, legal, and compliance units in the bank toward the furtherance of this objective. The RM's insights and close collaboration with the Bank's internal units are key to relevant product development and service enhancement.Loan Negotiation, Documentation, and Administration: Relationship Managers collaborate with Credit partners in structuring loan packages and on-time line renewals. The RMs also negotiate line terms and conditions with clients and ensure complete documentation and setup of credit approvals. Likewise, the RMs assist the Credit partners in presenting the account to the Bank's credit approving bodies.Monitoring Loan Portfolio Credit Quality: Relationship Managers are responsible for monitoring the credit quality of the loan portfolio and ensuring full compliance with credit policies and standards. Should a loan deteriorate in credit quality or become past due, the RMs should strategize and pursue options for loan recovery. After exhausting all efforts, the RMs are responsible for passing on recovery efforts to the Special Account Management Department.People Management: Large Corporates Relationship Managers are responsible for training the Service Associate on day-to-day activities to achieve client expectations and bank goals.Qualifications:College graduate preferably with a degree in a business-related discipline such as Banking, Accounting, or Finance.At least 3 years of banking experience serving corporate accounts either as part of service staff, account management, products, or channels and/or related disciplines.Knowledge of markets, credit and lending, operations, credit policies, risk management, and commercial banking products and services to enable cross-selling.Knowledge of Philippine regulatory standards and compliance guidelines.Experience working with corporate clients.
