About the role
As a Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will have the opportunity to shape the role as the company, and the compliance program develops. You will be an important stakeholder in ensuring that we build a compliance culture and awareness across the company. We believe that being compliant is part of doing business and this role will work closely with business functions and provide proactive advice and support across the organization.
What challenges you´ll be solving
Defining, developing, refining, and documenting the processes related to the financial services that are offered.
Working closely with the business to identify, assess, update, and mitigate the regulatory compliance risks posed to seQura, and determining the priorities and resources required to effectively control them.
Continuously developing, enhancing, and embedding the compliance framework in working with Conflicts of Interest, Regulatory Outsourcing, ABC and general advice on payment services regulations.
Communicating with all necessary staff to ensure they understand their responsibilities and are trained in seQura policies and procedures.
Identifying regulatory issues proactively and recommending remedies to promote compliance.
Creating, assessing, and implementing policies relevant for the regulated activities performed by seQura.
Play an instrumental role in the implementation of a Payment Services License across the organization.

What you'll need
5 years experience as a compliance professional at a payment/e-money institution.
Must have proven experience working in a relevant compliance position within a financial institution focused on payments.
Must have in-depth knowledge of compliance requirements at a global level, and practical experience with EU laws and regulations.
Must have extensive experience drafting policies from scratch.
Must have a LLM degree or equivalent.
Demonstrated risk-based decisioning and strategic thinking being able to combine a business mindset with a high level of integrity.
Should be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and managing evolving priorities to deliver against the team's strategy.
Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving and demanding environment, often with competing priorities.
Should be able to work effectively within a team, cross-functionally, as well as independently.
Proactive, hands-on, and self-driven personality.
