British American Tobacco Spain has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory and Engagement Manager – Global Travel Retail to join our team in Madrid.
This role is responsible for the successful execution of Global Travel Retail CORA strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement campaigns to drive the company's political and regulatory/public affairs strategies for both traditional tobacco products and new categories.Develop, handle, and deliver engagement and advocacy materials on key global regulatory issues and engage with relevant travel retail associations.Communicate to and engage with external collaborators to promote BAT's priorities, including preparing briefs on key industry issues.Monitor and track legislation, regulatory development, and the external environment.Lead key consultants and agencies to deliver quality output in support of execution of Global Travel Retail CORA strategy.Support other members of the wider LEX team, locally and in other markets.Operational/Professional/BusinessSupport and drive the execution of Global Travel Retail CORA strategies for shaping and managing the regulatory environment.Develop campaign plans and excellent drafting skills for the development of key advocacy materials.Lead strategic third-party relationships with travel retail associations, think tanks, and business associations.Handle worldwide regulatory insights and updates.Advise internal and external collaborators of the regulatory environment.Maintain the efficiency of processes and tools used to coordinate regulatory engagement efforts.Drive development and implementation of regulatory strategies and positions related to key regulatory issues.Leadership ResultsSupport the Cluster Head of LEX and Senior Engagement Manager in providing industry leadership with external collaborators.Work with the senior leadership team on aspects of the business influenced by the external environment.Relationship ResultsAct as a key relationship leader internally and externally.Develop and maintain strong working relationships within the CORA function in Global, Regional, and Area.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 7 years' experience in political, media, and corporate affairs issues.Deep political and public service relationships and an in-depth understanding of government and regulatory affairs.Experience dealing with partners on sensitive and complex issues.DesirableExperience in a corporate environment.Understanding of corporate reputation and risk management.What we offer you?Market leading annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility).Diverse health plans, initiatives for work-life balance, transportation support, and a flexible holiday plan.Access to online learning platforms and personalized growth programs.We're one of the few companies named as a Global Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute – certified in offering excellent employee conditions.
