Reporting: The successful candidate will be a member of the Global Tax Group (GTG), Europe and will report to the Regional Tax Director.
We seek a positive individual who grasps the big picture and can adapt, learns quickly, and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. The candidate should have organizational and leadership abilities, be independent and proactive, yet thrive in a fluid and challenging environment. They should be a team player with enthusiasm and be adept at engaging with top management and non-tax functions.
The successful candidate will be expected to advise and work with regional management, senior finance and legal personnel, treasury, controllership and other Accenture Global Tax Group (GTG) members throughout the world on a full range of tax matters. The job has various aspects, ranging from routine consultation and review to the structuring of significant transactions. Compliance activities comprise tax return review and internal forecasting and reporting.
Responsibilities
Provide advice on structuring client engagements in the region.
Identify planning opportunities within the region.
Control of tax compliance and risk management.
Advise on the most tax efficient structure for client engagements, working with the Client (as required), other internal functions and, where relevant, external advisors.
Support on develop tax planning proposals and obtain the approval of GTG leads for implementation.
Coordinate with the Regional Tax Director to support and keep country management informed, as well as the managing directors' group, on the implementation of local and global planning initiatives developed by the GTG.
Communicate complex and innovative tax concepts in a business structured manner, to a diverse business management audience.
Advise internal functions on measures to monitor, size and manage risk.
Work with other tax groups to coordinate/harmonize in-country tax planning.
Prevent, monitor and provide support to manage audit and controversy tax matters, by coordinating, soliciting and managing external professional advisers
Provide support on local controversy matters, in coordination with the Regional Tax Director.

Qualifications and experience
A recognized tax qualification with a minimum of 4 years international tax experience, preferably as in-house tax professional with a multinational business in relation to the responsibilities noted above.
Experience in Spanish tax environment.
The job requires a background at least equivalent to a tax manager in a Big 4 tax department, law firm or corporate tax department.
