The Gene Therapy, Regional Manager (Spain) is responsible for building and developing professional relationships within targeted academic hospitals to ensure the successful introduction and use of Novartis Gene Therapies products.
Your key responsibilities:Function as the main contact person and project leader for all aspects related to supporting gene therapy pathway at the Center of Excellence / referral center.Build/maintain excellent relationships with the relevant stakeholders including public regional health authorities and fulfill their requests for information and/or expertise.Organize regular treatment center meetings to ensure quality and continuous improvement of Novartis GTx services.Support account related reimbursement questions and negotiations by liaising with Market Access and the GM.Support the treatment center in establishing and developing their referral network.Map Neuropediatric and pediatric accounts and referral patterns to identify relevant customers.Organize/deliver educational events in close collaboration with Medical Affairs and in full accordance with compliance regulations.Support information and education towards early diagnosis/referral.Implement & manage operational business/account plans within approved budgets as derivative of the overall cluster strategy and in line with the international guidelines.Act as expert in gene therapy, diagnostic, reimbursement and supply chain questions in the centers.Facilitate and provide timely feedback to appropriate management regarding account business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, industry issues and business opportunities.Attend meetings and training sessions; be responsible for keeping the acquired scientific knowledge level up to highest standard.Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies.

Minimum requirements:What you'll bring to the role:University degree in science and/or business + advanced degree in business, bioscience, and/or medicine.Native Spanish + fluent English.Minimum 7 years of experience in field-based key account or medical affairs positions operating in hospital markets.
Rare disease indications, neuropediatric experience preferred.Good understanding of hospital organizational/financial structure, patient flow, ordering and reimbursement processes in- and out-patient care.Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics and well-developed understanding of drug product P&R; and Listing processes, including processes for clinical guidelines and formularies.Launch experience within rare disease indications and academic hospitals required.Well-developed ethical business standards; working knowledge of regulatory and compliance.Able to build trustful relationships with all relevant stakeholders.Desirable requirements:Additional roles/experience in special assignments in medical or marketing desirable.Why consider Novartis?766 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2021, and while we're proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people's lives.
