.ALS Laboratories are looking for a Financial Controller to join their Support Services team. The role will be based in Europe, ideally in Madrid, Spain, however other European locations will be considered.This role will have you oversee financial operations within the designated regions, manage and mentor regional financial staff, foster relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, and collaborate with the group financial controller to ensure alignment with overall financial strategies and objectives.The ideal candidate will have an extensive financial and accounting background of at least 12 years, along with 7 or more years in a managerial role, with experience as a lead position in implantation of ERP projects.Do you have the skills required, if so, please read on!About the PositionContract: Full Time – hybrid-based role, with 3 days on site & regular travel required.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive change management initiatives within the region, adapting to evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.Champion a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and process optimization.Navigate ambiguity effectively, making informed decisions to support financial performance and strategic goals.Travel globally as necessary to support regional operations and engage with key stakeholders.Provides support to Regional and Group Business leaders, Group Financial Controller and Group CFO, as required including proactive financial analysis to help to manage the businesses by identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and drive/track strategic initiatives.Deliver Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reporting of the regions operations.Drive the financial planning analysis process within designated region. (Budget forecast and strategic planning).Leads and manages the month end closing process for the assigned business unit(s).Coordinate all work and interaction with external auditors for annual audit processes.Lead credit and collection management process for the business, driving continuous improvement in Cash Generation.Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Manage financial systems and related policies and procedures.Involvement in regional M&A activity including post merger implementation of finance functions and policiesCollaboration with Group Treasury department on cash repatriation policy and proceduresAbout youBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and current CPAMaster in Business AdministrationCapability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and matrix organization.Demonstrated ability to understand complex accounting processes and employ effective auditing/ drill down capabilities.Ability to obtain, organize and analyse data, and utilize to develop and implement processes to drive efficiency.Excellent communication skills with high level of English proficiency, both written and verbal.Strong planning and organizational skills
