We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Record to Report (R2R) Specialist to join our finance team in Barcelona.The ideal candidate will have accounting experience, particularly in international environments, and will be adaptable to a fast-changing and growing business. This position requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Experience with SOX compliance and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) is highly valuable.This role will require candidates to be onsite at our Barcelona office 2-3 days per week.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies.Ensure accurate financial reporting by collaborating with other departments to capture and record month-end accruals properly.Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies while maintaining accurate supporting documentation.Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements by maintaining proper internal controls over financial reporting.Work closely with local advisors to support statutory compliance.Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.Participate in process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.Support international operations, ensuring compliance with local accounting regulations and standards as the company expands.Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company to support financial reporting needs and strategic goals.Qualifications:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Record to Report or general accounting role.Proficiency in English is required.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) is highly valuable.Exposure to SOX compliance and understanding of internal controls is preferred.Experience in an international environment is highly valuable.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.Prior experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm is a strong plus.
