Context And Mission
The Performance Tools group inside the Computer Sciences department of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center offers a researcher position to work in the R+D activities and projects both developing performance tools and with the role of analyst using the tools.
Key Duties
Contribute to the development of the Basic Analysis tool
Contribute to the development of the Clustering tool
Analyst of POP3 assessments and services
Participate in the group's R&D projects
Contribute and lead research publications
Requirements
Education
Computer Science PhD
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
At least 3 years experience developing performance tools
Minimum 3 years experience with BSC performance tools
Parallel programming models (MPI, OpenMP, ...)
Programming languages (C, C++, Fortran, Python) and development tools (SVN, GIT ...)
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Experience in support activities
Competences
Ability to work in a team/project
Flexible work schedule and availability to travel
Good English communication skills
Conditions
The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona
Starting date: Jan 1st 2025
