La Crisalida Retreats offers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing through our programme of activities including yoga, life makeover workshops, meditation, guided walks, exercise classes, combined with tasty nutritious plant-based food and juices.
This is a hands-on role in a busy environment.
As well as your staff and guest responsibilities, you will be working with the senior management team and reporting to the retreat manager and owners.
In this position, you will be responsible for the overall management of the retreat reception and reservations departments.
Reception at the retreat is responsible for welcoming guests, guest tours, booking and managing treatments, managing pre-arrival guest communication, and keeping accurate guest records.
Reception is also jointly responsible for guest relations as it is the first port of call for guests during their stay.
We have recently split our reservations and reception teams, and we are working to get both departments running more independently.
Working with the retreat management and owners, you will be responsible for developing the appropriate culture and cross support within these departments.
You will be responsible for ensuring superb guest experience from enquiry to their time at the retreat.
You will also have responsibilities for monitoring reservations team performance, working with the marketing team and third-party booking agencies.
You will also be required to support your team's operations where appropriate - for example, covering reception shifts where required, responding to enquiries, or taking and managing bookings.
Finally, this role also involves working as the main manager on shift when needed, responsible for ensuring that the entire retreat operates efficiently and effectively from an operational perspective on a day-to-day basis.
This role requires a minimum of 3 years previous reservations and/or reception experience at management level in a hotel or retreat.
