MISSION: As a Reactor development engineer you will be specialized in the design and optimization of reactors for chemical processes. As our company is growing rapidly and scaling up its technology in hydrogen production, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving projects from conceptualization to implementation in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
FUNCTIONS: Design and optimize chemical reactors for hydrogen production processes, starting from diverse raw materials.Conduct simulations and process modeling to ensure efficiency and safety of designs.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the integration of downstream and upstream systems and equipment.Perform thermodynamic and kinetic analyses to enhance reactor performance.Select in close collaboration with the mechanical engineering department the appropriate materials for each component taking into account products and operation conditions.Develop in close collaboration with the mechanical engineering department the technical specifications and documentation for reactor manufacturing.Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of reactors in the plant.Participate in troubleshooting and continuous process improvement.Stay updated on trends and advancements in hydrogen production technology.Professional training: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Project management, Safety in the Chemical industry.
Professional Experience: 10 years of experience in chemical reactor design.Experience in the hydrogen production sector or similar chemical industries (oil & gas, petrochemical).Strong knowledge of simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).Internal & External Relations: Internal interactions with the rest of engineering and operations team.External interactions with the engineering and operations team of the client, with suppliers and with external engineering companies.Other information: Competencies: accountability, building partnerships, building trust, communication skills, embraces change, interpersonal skills, managing conflict, strategic thinking, teamwork and collaboration.
