RAMS Engineer The candidate would support DEIMOS in several projects reporting to the head of Systems Engineering Competence Centre and will work collaboratively with team members across all subsystems.
The candidate will be focused on RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) activities.
Currently, DEIMOS is working on several projects for ESA and the commercial market to provide cutting edge technologies for earth observation or communication satellites as well as scientific missions.
Main Duties: The person in charge of this position would support DEIMOS on the current and upcoming projects regarding RAMS activities for space systems and satellite platforms.
Specific areas of work include, but are not limited to: Analysing and evaluating system reliability and safety parameters, Identifying and assessing risks and possible failure modes, Developing and implementing RAMS plans and strategies, Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, Preparing and maintaining technical documentation and reports, Providing RAMS guidance and support to the engineering team, Conducting and reviewing RAMS analyses and calculations, Driving continuous improvement initiatives in RAMS methodologies Education: Degree in Engineering or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least three years of professional experience in relevant positions, preferably in space sector.
Technical Requirements: Experience and understanding of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) Strong technical knowledge of RAM theory and analysis techniques such as: RBD: Reliability Block Diagram FMEA: Failure Mode and effects analysis FTA: Fault Tree Analysis Familiar with FIDES, ECSS dependability and safety standards Knowledge of safety analysis and risk assessment processes Resilience and adaptability in dynamic project environments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Language Skills: Fluent in English (B2 level as minimum) and Spanish.
Knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Italian or Russian) shall be an asset.
