Could you be the full-time RAM Engineer in Madrid we're looking for?
Your future role You'll specifically take care of carrying out RAM related activities in Projects & Programs in line with QCD objectives and looking for optimization of RAM performance while being mindful of other constraints (such as life cycle cost, safety, standards, etc.), making Design recommendations based on RAM studies (Application of 'Design for Reliability' and 'Design for Maintainability' guidelines) and verifying adequacy of architecture choices to System or Product RAM targets.
We'll look to you for: Specify and oversee RAM demonstration tests when required. During the operation and maintenance phase, validate field failure data collected by the Warranty team and issue the 2-page RAM monitoring reports; supply them to the RAM RoX Leader of the CoE; supply necessary inputs to compute accurate RAM KPIs, etc. In close coordination with the Quality function, take part in the reliability growth management process. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Engineering degree. Desirable: Degree in Dependability (RAM). RAM or RAMS function - profile with at least two years of experience in the field. Railway signalling - profile with at least four years of experience in the railway industry. Desirable: knowledge of architecture and functionality of railway signalling systems, electronics engineering, software engineering and maintenance and Integrated Logistic Support. Good bases in probability & statistics. Basic knowledge of data science methods & tools (data mining, machine learning, etc.) would be a plus. Good competencies in RAM analysis and prediction techniques on Systems & Products. Good competencies in RAM monitoring & demonstration (from field data). Good knowledge of Signaling principles, architecture and functionality. Teamwork. Computer literacy. Knowledge of programming languages would be a plus: VBA, C++, R, Python, etc. Language skills: A full proficient use of English is mandatory to be able to write and explain RAM studies internally and externally. Any other language (especially French) is a plus.
