Materials Physics Center (Donostia / San Sebastián)
The Centro de Física de Materiales – Materials Physics Center is offering an R&D Scientist position to work with Prof. F. Fernandez-Alonso and collaborators. The successful candidate will use and develop state-of-the-art neutron-based methodologies for the study of sustainable building materials, with a specific emphasis on natural and synthetic geomaterials. Candidates with a PhD degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or related discipline are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in the use of neutron-based and other analytical techniques to explore new functional materials would be an asset.
The position is funded by MCIN and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR-C17.I1, as well as by IKUR Strategy under the collaboration agreement between Ikerbasque Foundation and DIPC on behalf of the Department of Education of the Basque Government.
The selected candidate will be hired by the Research Association MPC - Materials Physics Center. The annual salary will be 35.650,44 euros before taxes. In the first instance, this post will be until June 2025, and may be renewed beyond this period upon mutual agreement.
