To develop this vision, we @Technica-Engineering built four years ago a completely new engineering team located in the Barcelona area, which is working closely in contact with our company headquarters in Munich.
Technica is a product-oriented company that continuously reinvests to stay ahead of the curve, so our interdisciplinary team composed of hardware and software experts is focused on the development of the company's own products roadmap and on innovative R&D electronics development projects with major customers.
We are looking for a passionate Project Leader / Manager for R&D projects to join the team and help us. Main Functions Collaborate with the management board and engineering team leaders to identify know-how expansion opportunities through research investments, and to clearly define related activities, aligning them with objectives defined on vertical markets of interest.Participate in initial definition of the innovation and research projects, internally in collaboration with the different technical groups and externally aligning with the potential collaborating partners.Participate in the budget elaboration and coordination of the different teams that need to be aligned during the presentation of proposals.Lead a cross-functional team of developers to successfully execute R&D projects at both European and national levels, ensuring adherence to planned budget allocation, achievement of project objectives and roadmap within designated timelines, and guaranteeing the quality of deliverables.Work closely with the technical team in the review of planned implementation, validation of results and elaboration of technical deliverables.Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies through rigorous investigation and continuous self-learning, ensuring the identification of potential new projects and aligning current project work items with their appropriate scopes.Implement risk management strategies for those projects, elaborating plans to mitigate risks and establishing contingency plans for effective control.Define and coordinate project communication strategy as well as dissemination activities in the scope of those projects.Lead the project meetings during the execution of the project either between the different technical/business teams and with outside collaborators/partners.Represent Technica at consortium events in collaborative projects at EU or national level.Generate accurate periodic reporting of progress and blocking points, to be able to communicate efficiently with the internal team and our partners. Job Requirements Skills Previous professional experience in project management roles in the automotive, telecommunications, or software development industry. Automotive is not a must.Strong engineering background (preferably telecommunications or computer science) and desirable previous experience in development roles before switching to project management.Continuous learning mindset in a technological context combined with executive synthesis skills, to quickly get a grasp on any new technological concept without needing to know deeply all details.Strong analytical and investigation skills to work in research projects with new technologies in early design phases.Good knowledge and application of agile methodologies.Good know-how of tools for project management using agile methodologies (for example, Trello, JIRA, Confluence, etc.).Desirable experience in start-up or mid-scale growth environments.Desirable project management certifications (IPMA, CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or any others).Friendly person with the patience and ability to build effective working relationships with people from very different backgrounds and groups.Experience in creating and maintaining relationships with partners and customers.Handling of multitasking activities with strong autonomous prioritization skills, without being overwhelmed by peaks of concurrent tasks.Highly detail-oriented person with a passion for being a proactive supplier of solutions.Strong work ethic and rigorous approach to managing confidential information.Fluency in local languages and working fluency in English is a must; basic German is nice to have but not required.
