R&D Pharma Controlling Junior AnalystFor our Management Accounting and Controlling department, we are looking for a dynamic Junior Analyst to support our R&D Pharma Controlling Hub in Barcelona.
The R&D Hub reports Actuals and Forecasting financials for almost 80 Legal Entities reporting Pharma R&D costs worldwide.
The financial data is the basis for the Pharma division to steer the business and make appropriate decisions related to the different R&D investment and cost programs (the ratio of R&D expenses to sales for Pharmaceuticals make up 16%).
As a Junior Analyst in our R&D Controlling Hub you will together with the rest of the team efficiently organize operational activities to guarantee reporting high-quality financial R&D data.
Additionally, you will be involved in process improvements to identify and implement changes in the related area.
In this role you will be responsible to:Actively drive the R&D Actuals, Planning and Forecast processes for all Legal Entities reporting Pharma R&D costs on project and study level and ad-hoc analysis.Ensure correct master data and decide on correction measures if needed.Participate in the coordination of the global R&D Pharma Reimbursement process.
Create, analyze and provide R&D Reimbursement reports based on the Actuals reporting.Identify & address deviations to be escalated to local and global stakeholders via R&D Actuals and Planning monitoring.Ensure data availability on deadlines for stakeholders and jointly solve upcoming issues.Back-up support for PERFECT process (Special Items handling).Actively participate and contribute in related communities.Identify and implement process improvements and changes (through KNIME, e.g.
).Define appropriate Knowledge Management and ensure retention of know-how.Participate in projects and additional assignments.Collaboration and alignment with global stakeholders make very strong stakeholder management skills a must for this position.
In performing this role, you are in close contact with the Finance Process & Business Excellence team in Berlin, Global Functional R&D Controllers, Local Functional R&D Controllers, Global Process Owners, Controlling Services and Management Accounting colleagues.
We would expect from you:Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Controlling, Taxes and minimum 2-3 years of experience in Finance, preferably Controlling.End to End process knowledge of R&D Controlling processes is considered as an advantage.Strong knowledge of Microsoft O365 Applications Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.IT systems oriented, with an excellent knowledge of Analysis for Office and SAP.Strong and trustful team player who drives for efficient results.Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.Digital interest to work with tools like Power BI, Tableau and KNIME.High level of English (Written/Spoken).Ability to work under pressure with high flexibility in changing environments.YOUR APPLICATIONThis is your opportunity to tackle the world's biggest challenges with us: Maintaining our health, feeding growing populations and slowing the rate of climate change.
