R&D Mechanical Engineer

Description: General Information: As R&D Engineer, you will join our South Europe Technology Center, an organization leading continuous research and development activities on transformers.
Specifically, you will be part of the R&D Team in Zaragoza (Spain), and you will contribute to the development of projects related to the performance of dry transformers and contribute to the successful roadmap execution.
Your responsibilities: Plan and execute R&D projects following the internal Gate Model and ensure they are delivered on time and on budget according to priorities.
Challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects and/or processes, and transfer your knowledge and findings from lab scale to the production environment.
Support product care activities while monitoring the quality performance of the products you are responsible for.
Drive the implementation of the resulting actions in either active products or new developments.
Provide punctual technical support to production factories.

Your background: BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Higher formal education will be meriting.
At least 2 years' experience in product development and/or design of industrial equipment, preferably dry-type transformers.
Expertise in the mechanical and/or thermal performance of epoxy resin will be very valuable.
Initiative, creativity, "out of the box" thinking, and great attention to detail.
Collaborative, solution-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
