BDF Ingredients is redefining the role of R&D Manager for our BDF ingredients & Biotech R&D team. The role of R&D team is to contribute to BDF growth via innovative products or processes to launch NPD in the marketplace or improve efficiency & yield.At BDF Ingredients, we're seeking a R&D MANAGER. The person will be responsible for developing some projects assigned to the R&D team and contributing to defining the NPD product pipeline together with key departments, integrating market info, BDF capabilities and business objectives.The R&D Manager will report to the BDF Ingredients & Biotech Head of Innovation. The duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Lead the projects assigned by your leader:Plan them according to objectives & timing, and achieve objectives flawlessly in the defined time frame and right cost.Define project plan and execute the necessary experiments to confirm hypotheses to achieve objectives in the defined time.Lead, conduct & analyze plant trials (at BDF, co-mans or external companies). Provide support during commissioning and startup of a new process implementation or new launches.Inform & coordinate with commercial, production and technical departments to foster collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and on time and quality NPD launches.Prepare the key process and product specifications to define clearly the product developed and key points of how they should be manufactured.Contribute to creating the innovation projects pipeline by analyzing, providing data and filter hypothesis that will drive future growth to BDF together.Contribute to prepare and renovate the product portfolio together with the Product manager assigned.Support your leader by conducting tasks or single items on his/her projects.Care for BDF's know-how: how to store it so that it is not wasted and how to protect it (definition of patents). Share knowledge acquired during development to grow R&D team members and other departments.Maximize BDF innovation capability by preparing the necessary information to achieve grants, subsidies, deductions and actively search for new possibilities.SkillsProactive attitude and adaptability in front of changes.Ability to work with different internal and external stakeholders.Initiative and driven to achieve results on the required timeframe.Ability to work in an autonomous way and able to find relevant sources of information to develop his/her projects.Critical and analytical thinking.Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Food Sciences, Biology or Agricultural Food Engineering desired.At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an R&D department, preferable in the industry area more than academic or Technology Centers.Project management skills and knowledge are highly desirable.High command of English, spoken and written.#J-18808-Ljbffr
