Reporting to the EMEA Research and Development function, the primary focus of this role is to apply, develop and implement several analytical techniques related to water analysis and membrane analysis required for the control and monitoring of membrane performance in research or industrial plants in the Analytical Laboratory of the Global Water Technology Center in Tarragona.
Your key responsibilities: Analysis of inorganic constituents in water samples by using ion chromatography and Optical Emission Spectroscopy with induced coupled plasma.
Analysis of organic constituents in water samples by using gas and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry and apply learning and findings into membrane deposits and foulants.
Support the analytical team in daily activities within the laboratory with other water related techniques such as pH, conductivity, alkalinity, etc.
Preparation of proper Design of Experiments when needed for new method development.
Accurate and robust skills for data evaluation and critical interpretation including statistical tools creating patterns or relationships between the data and pilot results if required.
Scientific Excellence in reporting and documentation of the data generated.
Proactively identify and implement changes to enhance the team's effectiveness.
Qualifications: Minimum Vocational Degree in Analysis and Quality Control Superior Technical Studies or Bachelor in Chemistry, Biotechnology or Environmental Sciences.
Background with analytical techniques and water treatment technologies is preferred.
Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in a multinational environment are must.
