Additionally, this role involves the development and implementation of new testing methods to improve the efficiency and accuracy of testing processes to be part of the Global Quality Team.Reporting to the Global Quality Manager and based in Getafe (Madrid), a Laboratory Engineer and Testing Specialist will develop innovative tests and implement processes in the internal Laboratory.Your role will be Conducting Tests and Analysis: Execute laboratory tests according to established protocols. Analyse and record test results in PLM, ensuring the precision and consistency of the data obtained. Test Method Innovation and Development: Research and develop new testing methods and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of the testing process. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of testing equipment according to established procedures. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports of the results of the tests and analyses carried out, highlighting any significant findings. Strict documentary support. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all laboratory tests and procedures comply with current quality and safety regulations and standards. Audit external laboratories for results calibration. Collaboration: Monitor projects and collaborate with departments involved, ensuring good communication and teamwork to achieve the same objective. Perfil What is important for the role: Degree in Engineering, chemistry or a related field. Previous experience in a testing laboratory or similar role for at least 3 years. Junior + that is, with 1st professional experience. In-depth knowledge of laboratory testing and analysis techniques. Specialty in leather and finished product is valued. Experience in the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Ability to develop and implement new testing methods. Proactivity and contribution of ideas. Excellent analysis and problem solving skills. Good documentation and report writing skills. Communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and precision in work. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines. Innovative and proactive approach for continuous process improvement.
