In this role, you will be part of a global team working on challenging, meaningful projects impacting core business activities.More on the Automation Engineer role:An Automation Engineer uses technology to improve, streamline, and automate a manufacturing process. They are responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring such technology. You will directly report to WE OT & Automation Regional Manager.Some additional responsibilities will be:Collect and prepare updated information about the existing control system, including software and hardware specifications (PLCs, PCs and SCADA servers, I/O devices, instruments, variable frequency drives, active and passive network components, etc.).Collect the latest automation software backups (PLC, SCADA, VFD, etc.).Prepare a technical specification for request for quotation related to the field of electrical engineering and automation.Support all potential suppliers during field visits and scope definition.Participate in design work at all stages of the automation modernization project.Check the project and assembly documentation.Installation supervision and commissioning work on the project for the modernization of the instrumentation, control system, and MCC upgrade.Supervision of commissioning and final acceptance.Guarantee the process and installation safety.Be responsible for the management of change procedures.Develop and keep updated cause and effect matrix based on existing software with process engineer.Eliminate defects and errors with product and software development.Collaborate with other business units (Operations, IT, Industry 4.0, etc.).Contract and third-party management.Definitions related to the infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks.Integration and data communication between the most diverse layers of the network, following applicable cybersecurity protocols.Support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity.Interaction with process historians, enabling communications and data for deeper analysis.Interaction with different communication protocols (Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.).Support projects in Western Europe region with engineering tasks.When required, visit other plants in WE to gather information required for the projects.We are looking for different skills in our ideal candidate:Background: Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science, or similar field.Experience: +/-3 years of experience as automation engineer or automation project engineer preferably in oilseed industry or oil & gas industry.Languages: Fluent in Spanish and advanced English.Availability: Non-frequent travels.
