Overview: The candidate will be the technical expert for development of polymer extrusion/injection products and manufacturing processes in a pharmaceutical development team.
Responsibilities: Development of polymeric device delivery systems as innovative or generics.
Development of polymeric device delivery systems with application of any other pharmaceutical formulations know-how.
Identification critical material attributes, specification setting with selection of suitable materials for pharmaceutical use.
Development and validation of pharmaceutical processes based on polymer (extrusion/injection), application of any other pharmaceutical formulation know-how, improvement and implementation.
Analytical methods for polymeric device delivery systems based on application of any other pharmaceutical formulation know-how.
Analytical methods for polymeric device delivery systems for in-process controls applicable during the process.
Planning and execution of trials using systematic approaches as per currently available pharmaceutical standards (as QbD).
Multidisciplinary knowledge and capability of leading development of polymeric device delivery product and accompanied process (as sterilization).
Ingenuity, conceptual designs, and execution part of whole manufacturing process.
Production, regulatory and internal documentation, reports, patent applications, laboratory notebooks, Scada i.e. readiness for equipment management.
Pharmaceutical compliance and audits.
Identification and implementation of manufacturing methods.
Scale up activities involving troubleshooting and cost savings.
Train the new incorporations in the specific activities and functions of the position in which you are an expert.
Qualifications: Education: Academic education in pharmaceutical, chemical science, Master degree or Doctorate thesis in Pharmaceutical Science or Chemistry Science (or related).
Languages: Fluent in English and basic knowledge of Spanish.
Experience: 5+ years of development of polymeric delivery device systems in pharmaceutical industry; 5+ years of polymers extrusion/injection experience; 5+ years Industrial experience preferred; Experience supporting RD pharmaceutical development team, RD analytical development, manufacturing operations and working on industrial equipment. Laboratory and industrial experience is a plus.
Specific Knowledge: Pharmaceutical knowledge in pharmaceutical technology, pharmacokinetics and chemistry understanding, analytical methodology.
