We passionately believe that games are for everyone, whether we're playing or creating them.WHAT WE DO : Mediatonic is looking for a Lead Animator to join the team and be responsible for not only creating the most exemplary animations but lifting the entire discipline's creative ability by leading the way, coaching and mentoring. The role is ideal for someone who will be motivated in a fast-paced environment to ensure the quality is consistent and high. You will be leading from the front in terms of creating awesome animations, suggesting and setting improvements for both working practice and quality, and also managing a team of animators - providing feedback, completing reviews and helping the team to improve in their craft.WHAT YOU'LL DO: Demonstrate your mastery of the creative process: deploying the right process for a given challenge.Be an expert in 3D animation software, with a proven ability to keyframe animations at a high level.Take responsibility to own and solve problems in a way that's aligned to the product vision.Support full Animation pipelines - including rigging - both in dedicated animation software and in-engine, understanding platform requirements (e.G. Unity/Unreal).Working closely with the Lead & Studio AD - you will help foster an innate training and mentoring culture within your team.Be comfortable in coaching and mentoring their craft discipline, such as in tools, techniques, and technical workflow/pipelines.Ensure the culture is positive and productive and that the skill set is balanced and capable of providing outstanding artwork.What we're looking for: Comprehensive portfolio/showreel showing world-class examples of your craft on several released titles.Someone who is comfortable creating animations in a variety of styles.Extensive working knowledge of industry standard software such as 3DS Max or Maya, MotionBuilder, Unity/Unreal Engine.Previous experience in leading a team of animators in the video games industry.Good soft skills, a strong communicator and a natural mentor.Are you interested in joining a business that strives to create moments that matter for millions of players, in games that run for years?
