About the Team
You will be part of the Stargate Center of Expertise (CoE) which is part of the recently established Group Data Services (GDS) organization. The Stargate CoE consists of a team of enthusiastic data strategists, data engineers, architects and platform specialists dedicated to realizing the full potential of Swiss Re's data. We engage with all parts of the company, enabling them to formulate and execute data ambitions, to develop group-wide data assets and to provide data-driven products and services to our clients.
About the Role
Particularly, you will:
Work with business domains, group functions and individual teams across the organization to shape their Stargate strategies.
Ensure a smooth operational onboarding of new teams and projects to the Stargate platform including staffing, technical setup, training and technical support.
Pro-actively contribute to managing and cultivating a high-quality Stargate project pipeline, shape new projects, coordinate execution with relevant stakeholders and oversee execution.
Take ownership of selected projects and drive them forward.
Shape, plan and execute communications and reporting activities for diverse audiences including senior management.
Contribute to the continuous expansion and improvement of the Stargate CoE's product and service offering, including core group data assets, analytics capabilities and training & enablement.
Engage with teams across the company, build and deliver demos and foster the adoption of Stargate.
About You
- Masters degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Econometrics, Economics).
- Strong entrepreneurial and analytical skills with genuine passion to make organizations more data-driven.
- Good coding skills in Python (ideally using pyspark). Programming skills in SQL and Typescript/JavaScript is a plus.
- Ability to structure, organize and drive multiple projects simultaneously and in a rapidly changing environment.
