.IRB Barcelona is seeking a candidate to support the activities of the institute's Core Facilities and Services (CF&S) portfolio. Specifically, this position will support the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives, working alongside the Director of Technology Strategy and Core Facilities, who leads IRB Barcelona's strategic scientific technology agenda and oversees its Core Facilities (CFs) and scientific services.The project manager, Technologies will be responsible for coordinating and supporting a variety of technologies-related projects and activities, contributing to the coordination of the CF&S portfolio, and carrying out important operational duties.DUTIES:Assist with the development of project briefs and plans for key strategic initiatives, collating information and liaising with key stakeholders; and the management of timelines and deliverables, ensuring the correct and smooth progression of projects and initiatives.Assist with the development and implementation of new policies, processes and procedures within the portfolio.Coordinate the annual review of user fees and budget forecasting, working alongside the Director Tech Strategy and CFs, CF managers and the Finance department.Assist the Director Tech Strategy and CFs with the implementation of a continuous improvement model for CFs.Assist with the development and implementation of training and professional development activities.Assist with the identification of funding opportunities (competitive and non-competitive) and preparation of proposals to ensure the sustainability of the portfolio.Create and administrate CFs and scientific services-related equipment and software databases.Coordinate Core Facilities team meetings and activities.Coordinate user satisfaction annual surveys for CFs and scientific services (data collection, analysis, preparation of final reports and action plans).Working alongside the Fundraising and Communications team, coordinate the creation, preparation, and maintenance of content for the technologies portfolio webpage and the development of tailored content for social media pages to maximise sector presence, reach and impact of CFs.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS:Must Have – Required:Experience:- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in managing research or institutional projects.Knowledge:- MSc or PhD in life sciences-related field.- Full command of English and Spanish.Skills:Strong project management skills with the ability to plan and manage projects with multiple stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both scientific and non-scientific individuals.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Meticulous, detail-oriented, structured.Proactive attitude, dynamism, and self-learning skills.Service-minded and team player.Desirable:Good command of Microsoft Office tools, project management software (e.G
