For REWE digital Spain, a subsidiary of REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga, we are looking for a Data Scientist (m/f/d), who will be part of the store-task management and will be responsible for managing the tasks/requirements. As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems, we plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 380,000 employees. Our team of over 2,200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector. Currently, we manage more than 80 logistics centers, 100 wide area network cables, and over 23,000 local network connections to ensure continuous data supply to the 32,000 scanner check-out desks in more than 7,300 stores.What you will do:You will join an autonomous and dynamic team comprised of Data Scientists, software developers, business analysts, data engineers, and business intelligence experts.Your role will be to collect, clean, transform, and analyze data.You'll guarantee the accuracy of data by creating data models and logics to enhance it.Working alongside your teammates, you will advance the data architecture involving big data and cloud technologies.What you will bring:Data manipulation and analysis: Ability to collect, clean, transform, and analyze data from various sources. Knowledge of working with databases, SQL queries, and handling large data sets.Statistics and mathematical modelling: Understanding of statistical methods for data analysis.Data Visualization: Ability to visualize complex data and communicate key insights. Knowledge of working with visualization tools such as Power BI.Big Data Technologies: Basic understanding of Big Data technologies. Experience working with distributed systems and processing large amounts of data.Programming: Experience in programming languages such as Python to analyze data, implement statistical models, and develop algorithms.Good written and spoken English.You enjoy working in a team and have a passion for programming and IT.Problem solving and critical thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems, find alternative solutions, and use critical thinking to make data-driven decisions.Nice to have:Experience with Jupyter Notebook and libraries like Pandas, Numpy, etc. would be an advantage.Communication and presentation: Ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts and results in an understandable way.#J-18808-Ljbffr
