.Join the Commercial Team in Bradford to deliver the Smart Street Lighting contract.The Role Here at Amey we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team in Bradford, to deliver the Smart Street Lighting contract. This £35m contract is installing 15,000 street light columns and 48,000 lanterns across Bradford over the next 2.5 years. With your critical NEC contract experience you will be given autonomy to deliver the contractual elements, working closely with the client and main subcontractor to meet key deadlines and measure progress. This role encompasses all the aspects of contract commercial control on a new NEC3 contract.It is a significant contract forming part of Amey's considerable street lighting portfolio of contracts. An excellent opportunity for personal development of core commercial skills and knowledge within an experienced and driven team. Ideally you will be working at the site in Rook Lane, Bradford for around 3-4 days each week. The rest can be undertaken remotely.Duties Implement commercial processes for cost capture, valuation, procurement and reporting.Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements.Responding to Client requests.Producing quotations.Work within the strict deadlines required under the Contract(s) and as required by the Company.Prepare commercial reports including monthly Cost Value Reconciliation financial report, cash-flows, budgets and forecasts.Production of BoQ from design drawings for valuation.Site measurement.Management of Subcontractor accounts in line with agreed subcontract agreement and Amey processes for certification, payment and liability.Manage all aspects of subcontract procurement and order value uplifts.Provide commercial support as required / directed.What are we looking for Having or be studying for a Degree qualification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable, or able to demonstrate a proven track record in quantity surveying / financial cost control.Experience of working with the NEC3 contract.Strong commercial and financial acumen.Ability to work under pressure, to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines.Methodical style of working.Good computer skills especially MS Excel and Word.Good communication skills.About Amey We're all originals here and our individuality is an asset.
