Your role includes implementing governance strategies to ensure continued quality output.
Your influence extends beyond execution; you serve as a trusted consultant within the team, imparting knowledge and training to other QAs as well as Engineers.Through collaborative efforts, you will provide feedback around the test strategies and approaches, tailoring them to the unique needs of each project, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and robust validation processes.
At the heart of the role lies the hands-on analysis of change, creation, maintenance, and improvement of manual testing types within your team, whilst advocating opportunities to automate manual tasks (not confined to testing activity) to improve efficiency.Main responsibilitiesQuality Documentation and Process Definition: Lead efforts in documenting processes that ensure quality standards are upheld, especially for rare or complex tasks like SDK upgrades, certificate rotations, and mobile release management.
Develop clear, reusable, and standardized documentation for procedures to prevent knowledge loss and streamline processes across the team.Testing Approach and Standards: Define a detailed test approach tailored to specific features, moving away from a "one-size-fits-all" method.
This includes creating testing standards for each environment and stage.
Analyze and implement testing protocols that ensure ongoing quality improvements, focusing on both consistency and adaptability within mobile operations.Ownership of Maintenance Tasks: Take ownership of mobile maintenance activities that mobile dev teams may not prioritize or have time to execute.
This includes platform health management, SDK updates, certificate rotations, and related operational tasks.Quality Analysis and Holistic Quality Improvement: Evaluate quality holistically across all processes and identify areas where improvements are needed.
Act as a bridge between quality control and other mobile operations activities to prevent quality issues from accumulating.Team Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on seldom-performed but critical processes
