The Quality Management and Research Officer In-Charge is responsible for ensuring that our quality standards are consistently upheld while also directing and implementing the organization's food quality management, research and development (R&D) policies, objectives, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all activities related to quality management and research, ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards. Lead and supervise the Quality Control (QC) section, ensuring accurate laboratory tests are performed and results are promptly communicated to relevant departments. Conduct non-routine tests as required for plant operations, ensuring adherence to all necessary quality standards. Develop and implement research initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, operational processes, and overall efficiency. Ensure all QC operations and R&D activities are compliant with industry regulations and company policies. Address quality issues identified during internal and external audits, collaborating with relevant teams to develop and implement effective solutions. Serve as the key liaison between the quality management team, production departments, and external clients regarding quality assurance and research outcomes. Regularly review and update quality control and research methodologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry developments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field. Registered Chemist is required. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Quality Management and/or Research & Development within the food manufacturing industry. Proven experience in managing laboratory operations, quality control processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to lead complex projects and initiatives. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Familiarity with audit procedures, customer complaint handling, and corrective action planning. In-depth knowledge and training in GMP, HALAL, HACCP, and Food Safety Management System standards and requirements. Proficient in computer skills. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term
