Job Summary A key role within the Regional QHSE team which combines in-depth knowledge and experience of airport ground support equipment (GSE) and its maintenance, along with expertise in quality, health & safety, and environmental management.
A Regional QHSE Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with QHSE guidelines.
They advise on QHSE measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures, conduct audits, inspections and investigations.
The role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, on-the-job coaching, guidance to staff to improve overall safety and QHSE performance.
Supports the business to assess operational safety o overlook the implementation of safety measures with in-depth knowledge of airport ground operations, cargo operations, along with expertise in quality, health & safety, and environmental management.
The role holder shall provide support on the implementation and continuous improvement of the regional safety management system, policies and procedures so that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment, Swissport complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and requirements from customer airlines.
Implements the Swissport Management System according to ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, ISAGO and any other applicable standards and ensure consistent delivery of services in line with these standards.
Prepares reports, manage occurrences, audits and inspections and provides regional management with relevant performance measurements and any other status updates for ongoing projects, corrective and preventative action plans related to QHSE.
Job Responsibilities 1.Operational safety: Lead Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments and work with the stations on the take the necessary mitigating actions.
Ensure QHSE related risks are appropriately addressed within operational risk registers.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.
Plan and coordinate quality and safety KPI monitoring (test and inspection activities, statistical techniques).
