Description Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Quality Control Inspector who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in Madrid, Spain .
Responsibilities Guarantees the Incoming Quality Inspection of New Spare Parts (Purchasing Orders); Guarantees the Incoming Quality Inspection of Repairs/Overhauls/Tech Upgrades of Spare Parts (Service Orders); Manages the Incoming Quality Non Conformities at the Hitachi Train Maintenance Centers & Warehouses as well as at Supplier Operational Sites when required.
Monitor the Incoming Quality Inspections KPI's trend reporting and escalate in case of deviations from targets; Supports the central Supplier Quality Assurance team for the qualification of new S&M External Providers (Suppliers, Contractors or Service Providers) involved in specific S&M activities; Required Skills/ Knowledge At least 5 years of experience in similar supplier quality roles; Knowledge of modern Quality Management tools, Process Quality Control methodologies and typical Quality Management Leverages; Knowledge of Measurement equipment including surface treatment; Desired Skills/ Knowledge Previous experience in Incoming inspections functions preferably in railway related projects; Basic understanding of Rolling Stock products/systems; Basic understanding of Railway Operations; Knowledge of the typical Service and Maintenance Processes and S&M Suppliers/External Providers Operating Model; Knowledge of special processes; Knowledge of SAP QM module; Soft Skills Analytical approach and logical mindset; Attitude to Problem Solving and continuous improvement; Good communication skills; Predisposition to manage conflictual situations; Education / Qualifications FP or Technical background; Languages English Level: A2 We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
