About the Role Our QA Engineer with a focus on automation will be a key pillar in SITA's contribution to a greener, more sustainable aviation through the enablement of flight and air traffic optimization. Reporting to the QA Subject Expert, the QA Engineer is responsible for the following key activities:
Develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient testing processes.Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases that thoroughly validate software functionality and performance.Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, and anomalies in a clear and concise manner using issue tracking tools.Key Duties Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing, to verify the software's adherence to specifications.Design and implement automated tests.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories.Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, leveraging automation to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.Participate in test environment setup and configuration.Collaborate with developers and product managers to prioritize and address issues, ensuring timely resolution and release readiness.Provide clear and concise testing status updates to project stakeholders, including progress, risks, and recommendations.Mentor and coordinate a small group of less experienced QAs, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles.What we are looking for Knowledge & Skills: Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation and proficiency in automation tools and frameworks.Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.Strong programming skills.Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.Familiarity with SQL for querying databases, verifying data integrity, and performing data-related testing.Experience working in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment.Java and Selenium are essential.Experience working with Page & Jack Mud.Ability to work on Manual to Automation conversions.
